Matheson Red Modern Tartan Fabric

Matheson Red Modern Lightweight Tartan is a red-based tartan with shades of green and navy. Woven using 100% Pure New Acrylic Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.

The two main branches were Matheson of Shines, in Sutherland, and Matheson of Lochalsh. There were other notable branches, including Bennet field in the Black Isle, Ross-shire. Sir Alexander Matheson, of the Lochalsh branch, became 1st Baronet of Lochalsh in 1882.
