Murray of Athol Ancient Lightweight Tartan is a bright green-based tartan with shades of blue and a red overcheck. Woven using 100% Pure New Acrylic Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.

In 1606 the 12th Chief of Tullamarine became an Earl and his son became Earl of Athol in 1629. The Marquess of Tullamarine led a contingent of Murrays to the standard of Prince Charles, and Lord George Murray became the leading general of the Jacobite army. The Murrays were powerful and had many important branches.
