Nisbet Modern Tartan Fabric

Nisbet Modern Tartan Fabric is a bright red-based tartan with a bold green check. Woven using 100% Pure New Acrylic Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.

First mentioned in the 12th century, the Insets appear to have taken their name from the old Barony of Nesbit, in Edom Parish, in Berwick shire. They appear to have remained in the Border counties for several generations, but later some Insets were in other parts of Scotland.
